The HG Wells Short Story Competition 2014

The HG Wells Short Story Competition 2014 closes on the 14th of July.

They are looking for short stories, 1,500-5,000 words. Theme: Fortune.

First, there’s The Margaret and Reg Turnill Prize (£1000) for writers 21 and under.
No entry fees for this one and no limit as to number of entries.

Secondly, the Grand Prize is £250. Entry Fees are £5 for under 21s, unwaged and over 60s. Otherwise it’s £10 per entry.

The winners and shortlisted stories will be published in an anthology.
