Robert Monteith Inaugural Poetry Competition 2016

The Robert Monteith Inaugural Poetry Competition 2016 closes on May 16th. It commemorates Captain Robert Monteith, of the Irish Brigade, who played a very active role in the events leading up to 1916.

It’s a new annual international competition open to published and unpublished poets, spoken word poets and students over 18 years of age.

The winner will receive €250 and a stay on Tigh Oilean Westmeath. The winning entry will be read by the poet if desired on East Coast FM. Prizes also include publication on their website, publication in local papers.
