The Poems-on-a-Beermat Competition is an interesting one from the Bradford on Avon Arts Festival.
Open to all writers 16 and over.
Submit poems of up to 12 lines. Theme: Light.
It closes on the 30th of July 2014.
Prizes: First prize is £200. Your poem and name will be printed on beermats to be placed in local pubs in September. There will be discretionary prizes for second and third places if the quality of entries merits them (£50 and £25). Ten shortlisted entrants will have their poem printed on beer mats and placed in pubs in Bradford on Avon and surrounding villages in September. All shortlisted poets will also receive 25 beer mats printed with their own poem and name.
Judge: Poet, Martin Malone.
It costs £4 for each entry, or £10 for three, (£3 each thereafter.)
