New Roscommon Writing Award 2014

The New Roscommon Writing Award 2014 is open to entrants who have a connection with Co. Roscommon, whether you’re living and/or working there. Or maybe you were born there, went to school in Roscommon, etc. You also have to be over 18.

Prize: €500 and publication in the Roscommon Herald and the Roscommon People. The winning entry will also be broadcast on Shannonside FM.
Four runners-up will receive €50 each.

You’ve until September 30th 2014 to enter the competition.

Send in your entry, on any theme, in any literary form as long as it’s typed and not more than 500 words. State the number of words on the bottom of the page of your entry. On a separate page, include your name, address, contact details, and your connection to the county.

It’s free to enter and Roscommon born poet, Jane Clarke will judge the competition.
