Boyle Arts Festival is now accepting original unpublished one-act plays with a maximum length of 15 minutes from amateur playwrights/directors and actors for the second Brass Shillelagh Drama Award. Five winning finalists will be selected to perform on the night of Saturday 30th July during the Boyle Arts Festival.
You will be required to stage the play with your own cast. You need to have your own props. On the final night an overall winner will be selected, based on that performance and the transformation from script to stage.
Prize money of €50 to the four runners up, €300 to the winner and the prestigious Brass Shillelagh itself.
