The competition closes on the 30th of April 2014.
Open to writers 16 or over. Poems may be on any subject, they shouldn’t be longer than 40 lines each. Postal entries only and entry fees should be paid by sterling cheque. It costs £4 for the first poem, £2 per poem thereafter.
Imtiaz Dharker, the judge, will read all entries.
Prizes: £500 for first, £150 for second and £50 for third.
Eight finalists will be chosen and invited to read their poems at the festival. The winners will also be announced at the festival.
