The second annual Waterford competition is open for submissions.

Submission Guidelines

• A waterford is shorter than a limerick.
• Must be only four lines.
• Must be a single verse quatrain, with an ABBA rhyming scheme.
• The lines must have a strict 8, 4, 4, 8 syllable count.

Entry fee: Free to enter

Prizes: 

• Celebration night at The Marine Bar in Dungravan.
• Ten winners will be chosen, and all will be recognised by publication.
