The Energheia Ireland Short Story Prize is open for 2025.

Submission Guidelines

  • Open to writers in Ireland aged 18-30.
  • Accepting short stories, written in English and max. length 1750 words (7 pages).
  • Submit your short story electronically in PDF or Word format to energheiaireland@gmail.com. Include, in the body of the email, your first and last name, your date of birth, address, phone number, and contact email address.

Judges: The prize will be judged by a committee appointed by the organisers.

Entry fee: Free-to-enter

Prize: The winner of the prize will be invited to attend the International Creative Writing Course and
Final Ceremony in Matera (Italy) held in September 2025. Travel costs and accommodation will be
covered by the organisation.

Deadline: Send your submission by 15th May 2025.
