The Moth Poetry Prize 2025

Submission Guidelines

• The Prize is open to anyone (over 16).
• Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and must never have been published or self-published (in print or online) or broadcast.
• English translations of work originally written in another language are acceptable, as long as the translator has permission, and the author and translator agree to share prize money.

Judges: Ishion Hutchinson

Entry fee: €16 per poem

Prizes:

• 1st prize: €6,000
• 3 Runner-up prizes of €1,000
• 8 commended poets will each receive €250
• The four shortlisted poems will be published in the Irish Times online, and the overall winner will be announced in the spring of 2025.
