Two competitions from the newly formed Beak Books, including a novel writing competition and secondly a songwriting competition.
The first is for first-time novelists. They’re looking for original, thought-provoking, exciting, quirky stories but nothing genre-specific such as horror, crime, science-fiction or children’s literature. Entry fee £8 pounds Cash prizes: First = £80, second = £60, third = £40. In addition, winner of first prize will be published in 2012. Entry on-line.
