The Avron International Poetry Competition is open for entries. This year, the panel of judges will be chaired by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy.
This prestigious biennial competition was founded by Ted Hughes in 1980. The first ever winner was Andrew Motion. All entries are anonymously judged and the competition has a reputation for uncovering the poetic talent of the future.
So enter online today for a chance to win up to £7,500. The deadline for entries is 5pm on 16 August 2010. Entry costs £7 per poem.
