The HG Wells Short Story Competition is open until July 16, 2017.
There are two competitions: The Margaret and Reg Turnill Competition for young writers of 21 years and under and a competition for the over 21s. The former is free to enter. It costs £10 to enter the over 21s competition or £5 if you have a student ID.
The winner of The Margaret and Reg Turnill Competition will receive £1,000 and the winner of the over 21s competition will receive £250.
