The 25th International Radio Playwriting Competition is open until the 31st of January, 2016.
Only open to writers who live outside the UK. Submit a script for a 53 minute radio play with up to six central characters, a synopsis (up to 400 words) and an entry form.
The playwright of the best play written with English as a first language, and the playwright of the best play written with English as a second language will both receive £2200. They will also win a trip to London to see the play being recorded for broadcast on the BBC World Service and to attend a prize-giving evening.
In addition, there’s the Georgi Markov Prize for the writer of the script identified by the judges as showing most promise.
