Week Two: ‘Where in the World…?’ – Setting
Week two will focus on surroundings. You’ll see how setting can completely alter the mood of your writing and how, by using the five senses, you can turn a dirty rubbish tip into an island of excitement and adventure. You will also have a go at creating your very own world.

Week Four: ‘They Said What?!’ – Point of View and Dialogue
During week four, we’ll focus on the writer’s point of view and how it can affect the way a story is told. You’ll also discover different character perspectives and understand how to interweave engaging dialogue into a narrative.
Week Five: ‘Lights, Camera… ACTION’ – Plot and Structure
Week five will centre on the importance of structuring and planning a story – think beginning, middle, end. We’ll draw on the five-point plot structur to help you understand how to build up to an exciting climax using action and conflict.
