Everything and Nothing
Michael Sell, Aberdeen, Scotland
I am everything and nothing,
A timid squeak on crowded streets,
A mighty roar a thousand miles from earth.
Reality is no friend,
Imagination is not nor cannot be my sanctuary.
I walk noisily through shadow,
But silently through the light of day,
The highest tide at its lowest ebb,
The brightest ray of a setting sun.
I am a good man, but a fool.
I am everything and nothing.
