This creative writing competition for children has four age categories: 7-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-16. Write a story of not more than 1,000 words under one of the following titles:-

Chief Inspector Drummond’s File No. 248
The Koh-i-Noor Is Missing
The Frangipani Tree
Stardate 3014: A Space Diary
Ross Montgomery is this year’s judge. There will be one overall winner of the competition who will receive £100 and a full A4 page critique of their story. Eight runners up (two in each age category) will also receive a critique and a £25 book token.
The winners and highly commended stories will be published in their next anthology.
The entry fee is £5 and all entries will receive a free short critique of their stories. You can enter as many stories as you like, as long as you include the relevant entry fee.
The competition closes on the 1st of April.
The competition is open to anyone in the world but entries must be in English.
