The Francis Ledwidge International Poetry Award is now open.
Deadline: November 5th 2014
Submit poetry of 40 lines each.
Prizes: First price is a Ledwidge plaque inscribed with the winner’s name and a cash prize. The winner will also be invited to read at the annual Francis Ledwidge Commemoration at the National War Memorial Gardens in July 2015.
Second and third prizes are cash prizes and books. Finalists will receive merit certificates.
The top three poems will also be entered in the Forward Prize UK.
Entry Fees: €4 per poem, 3 for €10.
You can send up to six poems (€20). Fees should be made payable to the Inchicore Ledwidge Society. Send the fee and your entry to: The Francis Ledwidge International Poetry Award 2014, C/o 20, Emmet Crescent. Inchicore, Dublin 8, Ireland.
Put your name and address and telephone number on a separate sheet. Include S.A.E. or email address for winners list. Poems will not be returned.
