The Tom Howard/John H. Reid Fiction & Essay Contest is open until April 30, 2019.

Judges: Dennis Norris II and Lauren Singer Ledoux.

Submit essays or short stories of up to 6,000 words. The winning story and winning essay will each receive $2,000 and a one-year gift certificate from Duotrope. The 12 best entries will be published on their website.

Fee: $20 per entry.
