The Walter Swan Poetry Prize 2020 is open until July, 31 2020.
Poems should be not more than 30 lines (excluding the title) and respond to the prompt ‘A Kindness’.
Prizes: £200, £100, £75. The winning poets will be invited to read their poems at the festival in October. The winner will also win a feedback session with a research fellow at the University of Leeds Poetry Centre.
Entry fee: £6 per poem for writers aged over 25 years. It costs £3 per poem for writers aged 18-25.
There’s also a new subcategory prize for young adult writers, judged by Rachel Bower.
