In May 2011, the publishers of many of the world’s most famous authors, including J.K. Rowling and Stephen King will join up to support The Next Big Author; which encourages budding authors to write the opening to a novel in May. Publishers including Orion and Bloomsbury will read and provide critiques for the top-rated chapters written that month. It is free to register and participate.
