The British Fantasy Society Short Story Competition 2014 is now open until June 30th.
Allen Ashley will judge the competition entries.
Prizes
◾1st is £100, a year’s membership of the BFS, and publication in the BFS Journal.
◾2nd is £50, a year’s membership of the BFS, and publication in their journal.
◾And 3rd is £20, and publication in the journal.
Writers outside the UK can also enter. Stories must be in English.
Any kind of fantastical story is eligible, eg. fantasy, science fiction, horror, supernatural, fabulation, magic realism, slipstream, etc, or any combination of those genres. Stories of up to 5,000 words are accepted, as long as they are unpublished in any form.
Entry is free to members of the society, otherwise you must pay £5 per entry.
