The 3rd Ó Bhéal Five Words Poetry Competition will close at the end of January 2016.
They will post five words every Tuesday at noon (GMT). Entrants then have one week to submit poems (not exceeding 50 lines) that include all five words given for that week. It’s open to writers around the world and costs 5 euro to enter.
Prize: The winner will receive 500 euros and an invitation to read at Ó Bhéal’s ninth anniversary event in April, 2016. The shortlisted poems and winning entry will also be published in their next annual anthology of five word poems.
Marie Coveney and Colm Scully will judge the competition entries.
